Hello new here.so gonna try to keep this straight forward.

Recently bought new motherboard and 2 kits of compatible ram. Each stick of ram has been tested individually and in every dram slot on the new Mobo. Boots fine with 1 or 2 sticks installed no problem. If I have 2 sticks of ram in no matter the configuration of the slots(1&3,2&4, 1&2, 3&4) it shows error message on boot "PMU training error socket 0..." But it will still boot using only 1 of my sticks of ram clocked down from 3200mhz to 2136mhz

Spec

Mobo- ASRock B450 Steel Legend

Cpu- Ryzen 5 3600

Cooler- Wraith Prism

GPU- gtx 1660 msi frozr7

Ram- Corsair Vengeance (2X16) & (2X8) 3200mhz

Please help I can't figure this out. The bios will show Info for all ram installed but won't use more than 1 at a time.

“Boots with 1 or 2 sticks no problem” Is not compatible with problems with two sticks.  Do you mean 3 sticks?  Have you tried 4 sticks?  Is the ram identical?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
