I have 4 1tb gaming drives, three of them are Sata, one is Nvme. I wanted to back all four of these drives up to a fifth drive, and I wanted to know the best solution. I have a x470 Strix-F mobo, and according to my manual https://dlsvr04.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/ROG_STRIX-X470-F-GAMING/E13828_RAID_Configuration_Guide_EM_WEB.pdf
I could do raid 1 but it would probably only work across the sata drives. Unless I misunderstood this. Anyway is there any way I could backup 4 drives to a fifth one? I run windows 10 Pro.

You want to back up 4 drives with different content to a fifth drive? If I'm understanding correctly, the 5th drive is >= 4tb right? In that case I don't think you can run a Raid 1.

Since they are gaming drives, I'm assuming the backup doesn't require real time sync? I think a relatively safer way than a Raid 1 is to take the back up drive out of the system and set up a recursive rsync task (or whatever backup software to your preference). For instance, lots of WiFi routers have USB3 port and support SMB, some can even install apps.
