Looking for some help with a case upgrade. Currently running a Fractal Design Meshify C with 2x 140MM Noctua Intakes and a Noctua 120MM rear. My GPU temperatures are higher than I would like even with a more aggressive fan curve. Wondering if anyone can recommend another case that may improve GPU temperatures or possible a better fan curve?

My thought is due to the compact size and how close it is to the fan that it may not be getting adequate cooling or maybe heat can't escape fast enough?

If anyone has any suggestions let me know.

Specs:

I7 8700K

Noctua NH-D15 Cooler (one fan currently)

Asus Z370-E Motherboard

Asus Strix 1080 Graphics Card

16gb Corsair Low Profile DDR4

1TB Samsung 970 EVO NVME

500GB Samsung 960 EVO NVME

EVGA 650 G3 Power Supply

2x Noctua NF-A14 (Intake)

1x Noctua NF-F12 (Exhaust)

I mean that was the reason I bought it. My CPU is normally fine, sits at about 54-60 under load. The GPU is anywhere between 67-75.

You are only going to get slightly better temps even with the best case compared to the Meshify C. You even added fans that are better than the stock fans included.

Your GPU temps are fine, you aren't going to get much lower without replacing the cooler on the GPU either with an AIO cooler and the NZXT Kraken G12 mounting kit, or a EK waterblock, but that requires custom loop water cooling.

Even open-bench testing shows the 1080 Strix heats up to around 67C under load. The fact that your case is almost equal to slight hotter than an open test bench is a good thing.

So basically, you have no issues with the case itself, but the only real way to lower GPU temps any further is to go to water cooling.

Thanks for the explanation. I was assuming the GPU would be cooler and that 75 was on the high end. At what GPU temperature should I get concerned?

As long as it doesn't hit above 90C, you should be fine for the most part.
