Some days ago I was having a particularly good day and decided to change the termal paste on my GTX 770 as I had just finished jerry-rigging my "new" ITX case.

Everything was looking fine and I was feeling good about myself ´till I decided to run MSI Kombustor to check temps. my happines turned to sorrow as my Seasonic 660xp power suplly exploded and everything turned off.

Seasonic Gracefully honored the last of their 7 year warranty and granted me a new one, but my system won't boot with the GPU as primary video output, giving me 8 beeps.

If plugging the GPU as secondary adapter, I cant read or flash the BIOS and GPU-z doesn't show the cards full info (as attached pics show.

Now for the real question: Is the GPU gone? Or maybe just some other component on the card itself just died (something replaceble)?

Anybody has any sources on how to diagnose that kind of thing.

Thanks to anyone who is able to shine some light over this.

Yeah man you probably fried that card unfortunately.

When power supplies fail they fail spectacularly, likely the voltage regulation failed on that PSU and when that happened way too much current went into that card and probably fried it's memory.

It might be time to retire that card, the fact you can't flash the bios is not good.
