Indeed. I've got this monitor, plugging this cable into your PC enables data transfer function for the USB ports in the back of the monitor.

Plug this into your PC and you'll be able to use the USB Type-A ports on the monitor.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
