Ryzen versions of corsair ram?

Hi

I was browsing ram sticks on my local pc parts online webshop. I saw the same corsair dominator ram listed two times and the only difference was that one of them was listed as an "amd ryzen compatible ram". Does this mean the other ram wont work with amd?

You can provide links but its probably something marketing related. You can look for the "part number" and compare them and see if they work. Typically any DDR4 ram should work with ryzen and probably your local shop made a mistake.

They should both work. Can you link them?

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Well there seems to be a difference

Ryzen ram

Non-ryzen ram

From what I see, the speed of the Ryzen ram is higher, but at the same time, the non-ryzen ram seems to be better because it has faster timings and you need to locker the clock speed so it is 1:1 with the infinity fabric... Honestly, i'd go for the non-ryzen ram and look up a video of "Manual ram timings for Ryzen" and just do what they do in the video

Both will work with ryzen though

I would go for the Normal ram. It is the only one still offered on corsairs website and seems to be faster.
