DVI Not working

Hey All!

 

So recently I bought a Asus strix rx570 and it was working great but yesterday i had moved my pc to a different room. Now whenever I plug something into either DVI port it doesnt display anything, my monitor detects a device connected but says no signal. Every so often it does work but then both DVI connectors can only mirror each other. Any help would be awesome!

Maybe something got jostled when you moved it.

 

Make sure the card is fully seated.

Make sure to plug all monitors into your dedicated GPU if you have one. The iGPU will be disabled as soon as a dGPU is pugged in.

My processor doesnt have iGPU lmao. I've got no choice but to plug into the dGPU

Will try that! Do i need to shut off the pc beforehand to reseat it?

Haha i've seen people with a 3200G running X570 without a dGPU. Was worth a shot i guess.

Ya ive seen people do that before and blow a whole bunch of money thinking their monitor was broken. Thank you though!

@HairlessMonkeyBoy I tried that and still didnt work. Update though, when i start the computer i get the American Megatrends logo and the windows startup screen on both monitors but as soon as i hit the login screen the monitors connected to dvi say no signal

Try clearing CMOS.

 

And if you haven't, try having just one monitor plugged in.

It seems that Windows is displaying to a non-existent monitor upon boot.

 

Try plugging in a different display with HDMI or other.

 

Try booting in safe mode.

If you get this to work again, try running DDU.
