I watched this video about ryzen in LTT.

I summarized ryzen 3 is more than enough if you only use it for gaming. Ryzen 5 made an impact when you also do content creation.

If I use my pc for gaming, data processing like power bi, and a bit of coding, what do I need?

like for example, if I wanna use my chrome, "ryzen 3 is enough but you need 64 GB of RAM".

Thanks

Depends on the scale of the project

A 3600 is enough for most cases

It's ipc and fpu are really good and will be enough for almost any user

If you want an 8core go for it but as I said it all depends on the scale of the project

Coding in general isn't that resource intensive

Obviously it still depends on the scale of the project

Depends on how well it scales to multi core and the size of your projects but a 3600 is plenty. 64gb for chrome is insane :p. Do you have like 1000 active tabs or something?

So I assume that ryzen 5 still have an impact if the project scale is pretty big.

Thank you.
