Sony WHXB900N or an alterative?

I recently purchased a pair of Audio-technicia ATH-M40x and quickly realized that I don't care for monitoring headphones. This pair isn't comfortable either. I'm considering purchasing a pair of bose wireless ANC headphones as a replacement and then will return the M40x's. I also tend to like bass and the 900n's are reviewed as having a lot of bass and overall sounding "good." Are these a good buy?

I'd try it with a pair of custom ear pads. my ATH-m30 weren't conformable till I spent like 10$ on some nice big ones.

mine were just some generic brand ones. then if you don't like the sound the sonys maybe more your tea

That's my thought. I specifically sought out headphones with free returns so I can send the m40x's back at no cost, and I only bought the m40x's at the recommendation of a friend.
