Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: modern FPS (Valorant, Modern Warfare, etc.) at 60+ fps

Other details im building my first PC ( i've only used prebuilts )and i wanted to make it as simple as possible so i plan on using a slightly modified version of the entry level AMD build because i wanted some RGB and i wanted to make it unique,

I want to save as much money on components as possible and was looking for suggestions

My suggestion is rgb and cheap do not go well together.  $900 is sort of a point where one starts to see diminishing returns on device power, but before that level if you buy rgb you’re giving up something to do it.  Rgb doesn’t DO anything except make lights and can easily cost a lot.  There are ways to make a machine uncommon looking that cost less rather than more.  Not using a case at all for example.  I knew a guy who made a machine where he simply screwed the parts to a wall.  Case cost $0 and it was pretty unusual looking.

Lighted (where the lights don’t change color) can be cheaper, as can cases that come bundled with rgb and a controller.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

I agree 100 percent, especially when dealing with budget builds rgb has no place, even the fans are extremely expensive compared to their non-rgb counterparts.
