Hello guys,

i am planning to build a gaming computer for around 1800$ (only for the components). Please suggest all components i should buy. I prefer Intel CPUs and it would be better if the case is windowed and the PSU modular. I am waiting for your replies. Thank you!

Sorry if my English is not perfect, but it isn't my native language :)

impractical. $1800 gets you a good system, but a $1400 system will probably only give you about 7% less performance.

I purposely did NOT max out your budget. Yes I could have fit a 4770K and a 780Ti into that budget, getting both would require skimping on some other components. But I think this build will give you 95%+ of the performance (unless you are hardcore video editing/rendering) at quite a bit of savings.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU:  Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($209.00 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler:  Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($97.16 @ Amazon)
Motherboard:  ASRock Z87M Extreme4 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($119.99 @ Microcenter)
Storage:  Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk  ($155.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card:  Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card  ($519.99 @ Amazon)
Case:  Corsair 350D Window MicroATX Mid Tower Case  ($79.99 @ Microcenter)
Total: $1447.61

I don't know the prices in Bulgaria or whether 1800$ refers to USD or your currency. :S

I meant 1800 USD. Converted to my currency it is around 3000 bulgarian levs. The prices in Bulgaria doesn't really matter because my budget is flexible. I want some suggestions around this amount and if bulgarian prices are higher i can swallow a 200$ difference for instance.

It is a good build. But i have a couple more question if you have the time to answer. Is the Corsair 350D better than the case that you suggested? Also i don't really need more than 1GB HDD, so is't it better for me to buy maybe something more reliable like the WD Caviar Black for around the same amount?

OK. So what is your suggestion for a $1400 build. You can list only the main components here. Thanks.

The Corsair 350D is a very good case but it is mATX which would save you one some money by getting a less expensive mother board, also the a WD black would improve some performance but a cavair blue would do you just fine for a 1TB or Seagate Barracuda is a good choice as well and the are relielble from what i under stand

It is difficult to provide a good build without knowing part availability in Bulgaria. It is pointless to include something that is not available. Also price relationships change. For example in one country Crucial memory may tend to be less expensive than Kingston, while in another the reverse can be true.

Can you provide links to any local on-line merchants?

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
