NVME recommendations?

Hi guys. I’m looking to purchase an M.2 drive right now and wondered what would be best for me. I don’t want to break the bank but would like good performance if possible? Some people have recommended the Crucial P1 but I hear the P2 and MX500 are better? I’m thinking to purchase one as my main drive and possibly the other for storage. I’ll be gaming casually and also emails and kids homework. Thanks guys

MX500 is not NVME, its SATA. 

I don't know anything about P1. 

 

I really like the XPG SX8200 Pro as its NVME and quite cheap with really good performance.

Without a doubt, the Samsung 970 EVO Plus, it's NVMe.

To be honest, for gaming you don't need a NVMe drive, but you might aswell go get one anyway, because they're relatively cheap nowadays.

The P1 is just fine, but for a boot drive I would get something different with TLC NAND. The P1 uses QLC NAND.

I would like the 970 but can’t justify it. The MX500 would be used solely for storage. I was thinking of using the Crucial P2 as the main boot drive but didn’t know whether it was any good or not.
