1st build for years and 1st post

Go to solution Solved by notalearnedman,

650w is more than enough, think around 400-450 max load with your setup, so you have some decent headroom.

Hello all.

This is my first post on this site, and my first computer build for years. First a bit of history, my first computer was a 16K ZX Spectrum way back in 83, and after that I was hooked, soon upgraded to a massive 48K of memory, and then it was BBC Model B’s and then a Amiga 1200. But about thirty years ago I got my first PC, a AMD equivalent of a original pentium, and over the following years it was upgrade and new build after new build. That stopped about ten years ago when I built my last PC, which was a first release Intel i7. I used this for photo editing and video editing but not gaming as I stopped playing games. However, move to this year and my daughter asked me to build her a new gaming PC as hers was getting a bit old. So I built her a Intel i9 9900K with a Nvidia 2060 graphics card. However I found myself jealous of it, so for my recent 50th birthday I treated my self to a new rig and have started to get back into gaming.

My Rig is

Processor -         AMD Ryzen 9 3900X

Graphics -          Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT Nitro+ Special Edition.

Motherboard -    ASUS  ROG Strix X570-F Gaming

Case -                 Zalman Z7 Neo mid tower case

Memory -            Corsair 16Gb DDR4 3600

PSU -                  Kolink Enclave 650watt  80+ Gold modular

Cooling -             Cooler Master ML240L RGB cooler

Storage -             Sabrent 512 Gb Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2

                            Seagate Barracuda 4Tb  hard drive

                            Crucial MX500 1Tb SSD

Monitor -             ASUS TUF Gaming VG27BQ 155Hz 27 inch

Keyboard -          Corsair K70 MK.2 RGB Cherry MX Red

Mouse -               Logitech G502 Hero.

Build went well and all functioning well. Now trying to get my head around this overclocking lark and relearn my gaming skills. Got a long way to go but this silver haired 50 year old is having fun!

Zalmans not the best company but it's nice seeing different cases used.  I think that case is striking.  I really like the lighting effect on the front.  Also the internals are top notch as well.
