Computer keeps restarting before booting

Hey guys,

 

My computer keeps restarting for like 2-5 times before it will boot itself up.

 

This problem started happening after I overclocked my CPU. I didn't even go overboard with it. I just enabled Asrocks profile instead of the AMD profile from bios.

 

Could this be caused by a too "small" power supply?

 

MOBO: Asrock b450 gaming k4

 

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x

 

GPU: Asus RTX 2080

 

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX ddr4 3200 mhz

 

PSU: Seasonic Focus PX 650W 80+ Platinum, Modular

 

I've never had problems like this and I would like to know what causes this and is it dangerous?

Your board is likely trying and failing to post with your OC settings before finally reverting to "Optimized default".

 

The OC is not stable and you should load up the default settings.

 

Your PSU is fine. Probably great actually just at a glance.

It wasn't the clocks I applied that was the fault. Now that I restored the base settings I found out it was actually the XMP profile that was the cause of this.
