I am building my first cooling system (in my first computer build) and have a question about choosing coolant and dye manufacturers.  If you go to the different companies' web sites, they all tell you to use their own additives to ensure compatibility with their hardware.  The reasons given talk about stripping color from fittings, congestion in water blocks, staining of tubing, etc.

My system will have EKWB radiators, Bitspower fittings, Monsoon reservoirs, Bitspower CPU and GPU blocks, a Lowara D5 pump, and 14mm rigid tubing.  As you can see, it is going to be difficult to dedicate myself to ONE company's additives.  I want to make 'gold' color, so Bitspower dyes are out as they do not seem to offer yellow.  I was thinking of going with EKWB as they have a good kit and the best ratings.

Any thoughts?!?

Main thing is ensure the material compatibility which is good in your case since it is all copper base and getting a decent coolant. Both the coolants from EKWB or Mayhems are very well regarded. For a gold or dark yellow you can get dyes from each manufacture and add them to as base color or white pastel to get the look you desire.

One thing I will point out is stay away from iridescent coolants that have particles like Primchochill Vue or Mayhems Aurora as they do not last long term and many have had issues with build up or clogging.

Thanks for the advice.  I enjoy doing the research and, since I was going with a highly-rated product, I figured that it would not be a real issue.  Even though I was not going with an 'iridescent', it is good to get direction from the experienced that are out there!
