pci-e cable extensions

I've been thinking to get pci-e cable extensions for the cx550m because the gpu i have only needs one 6+2pin connector and my stock psu pci-e cables have two one cable, so that means that theres a spare 6+2 pci-e connector hanging out of my gpu which looks really ugly. So does anyone know cheap black 1x(6+2) cable extensions for my psu? And how long does the cable extensions atleast need to be?

check with your local electronic refurbishers and surplus stores. I often find dollar bins with mismatched cables that they did not have or want to spend the time finding the PSU for. Even if you don't find exactly what your looking for, you might find the ends and wire to make one. In, Minneapolis we have Free Geek and Axe-Man for this kind of thing but you will have to look in your area.

Not sure where you are based, but in the UK you can get an 8 pin PCIE extension for less the £10. I imagine you could probably get them even cheaper in the US if thats where you are.

Oops, forgot to name where i live but yeah that seems something for what i'm looking for although it is 10 euro's more in the netherlands, you got anymore recommendations? (doesn't matter if you link one from your country)

Or cablemod have 8 pin extensions, not sure what their delivery times are currently though. I got a full kit from them a couple of months ago, and took nearly a month for them to arrive, but they did have to ship them in from China.
