alternative part testing other than replacement

So im planning my first build soon, and im worried about the parts being faulty. But to find out which part is broken I have to replace the part I think is faulty and test it. But what if I dont have spare parts? what would I have to do then?

It's not exactly common to get dead parts, but if you do you can usually tell by the symptoms and a little troubleshooting what component is causing an issue. If you really need to then you can buy a part just for testing, after your don't testing it you can return the part. I'm not saying whether that's ethical or not, I'm just saying you could do that.
