As for why nobody else does, I'm not sure. It's most likely just a lack of demand, along with that fact that it costs slightly more to manufacture.

That sounds like a great Idea, It would hide the often ugly 24-pin power cable! 

 

If I were to make a guess, the small indent on the socket where the clip on the power cable goes is always on the south side of the connector, right angle would obstruct that, causing a form-factor change.

I have a feeling this isn't offered due to the real estate on the board it takes up. Imagine having that sort of area lost on an ITX board. What I would like to see though isn right angled cables.

The EVGA Z77 board has a right angle connector, but that board is terrible for the price they're asking.

That would be extremely hard to plug in, you might have to do it before you mount your motherboard.

The only issue I could foresee is having to bend the relatively stiff 24 pin cable a bit far. You could easily plug one of these in.

It would be really hard to plug in, when pulling from the side the motherboard would be pulled, and you would have to really bend your 24 wires to make it through your cable mang holes.

I think of it as an convenience feature that could be included in higher end boards where you should be buying a a case with room anyway

Well they need to take into account all of the situations where it won't work, and weigh that up against the benefits of it (which are really only aesthetic).

From the manufacturers point of view its really not worth it to lose a bit of board space and potentially create compatibility issues with a lot of cases.

I like how I'm googling right angle 24 pin adapters and this was the 5th response on google.

It's hard enough to find an easily malleable 24-pin cable, and the only one I have found so far is the Bitfenix 24-pin extensions. Plus they look great.

EVGA X99 Classified has right angle connectors.... And a 24pin...
