Please help - AIO not working

Hey, I recently built my first PC with the following components:

-i7-97000

-Asus Prime Z390-A

-Gigabyte RTX 2060

-Corsair Vengence RBG Pro (16GB)

-Corsair Carbide SPEC-OMEGA RGB

-Thermaltake 600W RGB PSU

and the topic of this post...

-Corsair H100i AIO RGB Pro XT

 

 When we (Me & my dad) turned it on everything worked fine, including the fans on the AIO radiator. However, the RGB ring on the pump didn't turn on and when entering the BIOS, the CPU temperature reached 70 degrees celsius. We did all the connections correctly, reading the manual until we knew off by heart and watching as many videos as we could find, yet still nothing. I'm currently using the stock cooler that came with the i7-9700 CPU as a temporary replacement.

 

I have no idea whether we received the product faulty and I should RMA it, or if it's a different problem on our end (or even if we still did something wrong despite the manual and videos) so any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, before you suggest it, I have contacted Corsair customer support but with the COVID-19 stuff they're taking their understandably sweet time to respond and I very much want to have the PC fully built as soon as possible.

There is a power connector that you have to attach to your motherboard. Is it plugged in? To the right header?

I'm guessing that's the micro usb that plugs into the pump thing? If so then yes we plugged it into a USB 2.0 header like the manual said

No, it will plug into a fan header or into a SATA power connector.

If I'm not mistaken, it's a SATA power connector for the pump and a USB 2.0 header to control RGB etc.

yeah sorry, understood that wrong. We plugged the SATA power connector and the fan thing in (as well as the micro usb).

Did you check the SATA cable at the PSU?

1. Could be a faulty pump.

2. Pump not plugged in properly.

3. A poor mount.

How much pressure did you use when mounting it?  Did you use your fingers or a screw driver?

Update: Ive plugged it all back in, the SATA is connected and so is the micro usb (as well as the fans) do i put the fan header on the cpu fan, cpu opt, aio pump header or what?

Maybe some pics for these guys so they might be able to help better?

first screwed it in with fingers, the tightened it with a screwdriver.

As you can see here, the fans on the radiator are working, but the pump isn't. I might've plugged it into the wrong header but if not, please help

hey, i plugged everything in proper and the BIOS splash screen states "CPU fan error". And this is what the BIOS screen looks like:

The pump is dead or your power connection isnt providing power.

 

Though the CPU temp only says its 34c.

Yeah looks like its working fine now. Just the RGB is not lit.

You may need to setup the RGB with its software.

Hi, quick thing: it wont let me past the BIOS screen. I keep trying to exit and waiting for it to work but it doesnt.

Does the temp stay stead at 34C in bios or is it ramping up?

it keeps getting hotter. reached 50 in a couple of minutes so i turned it off to be safe

Yeah that's not good.

 

Did you plug in the AIO's fan header into the AIO pump header on your motherboard? I'm not seeing it in the fan profile.
