Missing a thumbscrew on my Corsair h115

Not sure if I lost a thumbscrew or if I just didn’t receive 4, but either way, is it safe to only use 3? This is to screw down the cooler header. ‘The circles are where I would put them’

no, you will have uneven mounting pressure with 3.

Also, your memory is in the wrong channels... should be in slots 2 and 4 for optimal performance.. not 1 and 2.

you could try to shoot an email to corsair stating that you are missing one. it may have really been missing one from the package as packaging errors do happen once in awhile. they may send one over to you.

 

but no dont use it with 3, that will be very uneven mounting pressure possibly causing poor thermals.

slots from left to right are 1, 2, 3, 4

 

1 stick config should be in slot 2 (just dont get single stick)

2 stick dual channel config should be in slots 2 and 4

4 stick dual channel (this is not quad channel as quad channel is a HEDT thing) just fill up all slots.

Go to the hardware store you can get a nut that wiil get you going.

It'll probably be fine to run with 3/4 but contact Corsair and they'll send the missing hardware.

 

You can't really hurt anything trying it.

Like others said, contact Corsair and they should send you another. 

Hopefully it won't take as long as when I asked them to send me a replacement key cap for my K95 keyboard as that didn't show up for 3 months! Then for some reason another showed up 2 months after that....

But yeah, go to an ace hardware or fastenal and you should be able to find something that works for the time being. I'd suggest that over just using 3 until you get a replacement from Corsair.
