Hey everyone, so I'm upgrading my i7 4790 16gb ddr3 2070 super build to a Ryzen 3 build. I got a steal of a deal on cpu, mobo, and monitor. Is my 750w PSU good enough for this build? Only thing I have left to buy is ram. Is the ram I picked out a good choice or is there anything better at the $200 CAD price point? Gonna be doing 1440p gaming and the occasional video editing. Also, if I'm not moving around huge files often, is a m.2 drive really worth it over the Samsung 860 pro ssd? Any real noticeable benefits? . Thanks.

A 750 watt psu is more than enough for that system, it should be fine. A regular sata ssd should be fine, it will load up games quickly and websites should load almost instantly as well, games might load a bit faster but I wouldn’t go with an m.2 just to save a few seconds when loading a game. And that ram should be good as well.

That RAM is fine, and no reason to upgrade the SSD. There is literally no appreciable difference in any home user use cases. That said, nvme drives are not much difference in price than a SATA ssd, so might as well get one. This is a fantastic deal: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07YFFX5MD/ref=twister_B082KVPKQ5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

The SSD is good, I am running Samsung 970 EVO plus 250 GB M2 and a Samsung 970 EVO 500 GB M2, It keeps the cable clutter down for me. The RAM is good, I'm running Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 2x8 gb.  No problem with the PSU, I have an i5 9600K OC to 5ghz at 1.35 Vcore, RAM running at 3200, and a power hungry Liquid Devil card with the switch set to "Unleashed" all powered by my EVGA 650 G3 PSU with no problems at all.

If you can return the 2070S, and you don't stream, I would reccomened you do it as the 5700xt red devil ( or any other 5700xt with decent dual or tri fan cooling) has the same gaming performance- at $100USD cheaper. The m.2 would hardly make a difference over the 860, even though the 860 is a fairly mediocore ssd in terms of speed.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

I can't return it and also I got it for a really good deal, even cheaper than the 5700xt.
