Budget (including currency): 9500 Turkish Liras (~around 1350-1500 $ (different taxes etc)) OR Less (no need to use all my budget)

Country: Turkey

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (no specific games, maybe RDR2)

Other details: Only the tower itself is needed. I have decent monitors and peripherals. (upgrading from GTX760 & i5-4690K)

Hi folks,

After I OCed my current system as far as possible, I gave up and decided to build a new rig. It may be my last build for the time being, since I do not think I will have the chance to make big upgrades in the near future.

I thought building a PC with Ryzen 5 3600X & RTX 2060, but since my last PC was built around 2015, I do not know much about recent trends in PC parts. Hence, I wanted to ask you guys for help.

Also, you might suggest that I should be waiting until new RTX and Ryzen models came out and it does make sense (financially). But it would be better if you provide a build nevertheless.

Thanks in advance,

Silvio

The 3600x is just a slightly OCed 3600, cheaper to get a 3600 and OC it, should be okay on the stock cooler and a B450 board with VRM heatsinks like the Gigabyte B450M DS3H.

What sites will you be buying it from? The last Turk to post here had to deal with really inflated prices, so maybe if we see your stores we can advise you better.

At this price range you should wait until september fir R 4000, RTX 3000 and the new Navi. The old parts will be cheaper and you'll get more for the same money.

September is not when they'll be out, September is when they'll likely be revealed. Telling someone to wait for new parts when they have no concrete release date is a bad idea. Waiting for Matisse Refresh, though... The 3600XT will be twice the price of the 3600 now (currently $150ish).

Yes, but they may drop prices in September or earlier for the older parts, because they want to empty the stock.

By how much, I wonder. The R5 3600 is already down to about $160, buy it at micro center with the $20 mobo bundle discount and you get it for $140. They also slashed prices on the 3800x to compete with the 10th gen intels

Big Navi/RDNA 2 will be high-end cards designed to compete with the RTX 2080 Super and 2080 Ti.

Currently, the RX 5700xt beats the 2060 Super and even competes with the 2070 super and is already cheap - it can be had as low as $350 ffs. It's really not going to get any cheaper, because AMD isn't going to launch anything in its price/performance range, and NVidia would have to slash their prices so far to compete with it that it would become unprofitable.

The only thing NVidia has going for it against the 5700xt is the ray tracing gimmick and the NVENC encoder for streamers.

So the 2080 / -super / -ti price could be dropped to 500 - 600$ - in OPs price range. According to rumors the RTX 3060 will be as good as one of these cards, better in RT and in the same price range => good choice? ( IF rumors are right).

Yes, prices are very inflated. That is why I wrote "around 1350-1500 $". There are tons of taxes here :) Also, I will be using local websites like hepsiburada.com and amazon.com.tr.

Ryzen 5 3600: 1,406

Tomahawk MAX: 1,080

16GB 3200MHz CL16: 1,057

WD 500GB SSD: 495

CX550: 1,043

Total: 5,081

Re-use the old case, hdd and gpu, then when Ampere is released get a 3070.
