24-Pin Extension Length?

Lachrymal

I'm  looking to have a 24-pin extension done for me, because the double cords on the Corsair RM 650 are a major pain. I was asked what length I would need the extension. Should I ask for the entire 610mm or perhaps just a foot long. This will be going in an H440 and I imagine it doesn't need to be very long at all. Especially if I'd like as less cable as possible to manage.

The easiest way to do double wires on a 24 pin is, put the sleeving over both wires on one end of the cable half way, then sleeve the other side single's and put heatshrink in the middle to hold it all together.

Snip one wire short to hide behind the mobo and solder it to the other? I've seen this on Lutro0's youtube but with all 12 of them??

No cutting or soldering needed

Ok, so you're stuffing two wires in one sleeve into one socket?

Correct

I will look into this more. Thank you and @Karumu for your input. I also, don't have the case yet so measuring isn't an option right now.

Something to think about when you are putting that many cables into a slot on the connector is that it will bulge and look off unless you are using a psu shroud and can make it so that the parts that you can see only have one wire going into each slot on the connector.

However there is some sleeve that you can get away with this a bit more on. For instance Kobra Sleeving due to its super small diameter doesnt look horrible. But if you take a larger diameter sleeving like MDPC and put two wires into the same spot on a connector (for example a 24pin connector) there will be a big bulge and if you have many of them in a row it will make it difficult.
