Hello all,

So I have been given a deal on a 2080 Super, specifically this model: https://www.gigabyte.com/uk/Graphics-Card/GV-N208SAORUS-W-8GC#kf

The card is refurbished and I have been quoted £550 for the graphics card, so I just wanted some imput from the experts.

Is this a good deal or good price to performance ratio?

Any information would be helpful :)

550 is a good deal but I would heavily check the card (if possible )

I mean this is a non reference card with an aio

And refurbished is a very vague word it could mean alot

I know refurbished can be very vague but I am also wondering if I take the deal, is the 2080 Super a good investment or should I wait for the new GPU's from Team read/green?

Obviously if this refurbish model actually works, it does come with a 12 month shop warranty.

An RTX 2080 super should be around 700$ new... (more like 800$).

so £550 is a great deal.

But since it's a water cooled GPU, I would check the pump's health before buying....

I can't say it's worth it or not

On paper it's a good deal but I can't say the seller is trust worthy

Wether you want to pull the trigger or not is your choice

Is an RTX 2080 super enough for your needs ?

Can u wait ?

If u can't then this is a great deal.

if u can wait though, perhaps u can get more for your money later.

I mean I could wait, I am currently running a 1060 6GB which isn't the best but it will do but I really want to upgrade.

In my experience, waiting to upgrade when you want to upgrade is usually a bad idea. I waited years just to get the tail end of a crypto rush and almost no improvement in fps/$ since release of gtx 1000s.

If you can max your refresh and res, I would wait. Otherwise, I would not. I can play at 60, 4k. so I'll wait on display port 2 cards and monitors.

CPU: Ryzen 5500 GPU: RX 6800 RAM: DDR4 3200MHZ 48GB (2x8+2x16 GB)  MOBO: MSI B450-A PRO Display: 4k120hz with freesync premium.
