I’m looking to switch to Ryzen 7 3700x. It’s currently going for 260 at micro center and would like to know what are some good budget motherboards. I’ve heard that Ryzen runs hot so if you have recommendations for that please leave them. Thanks

I recommend the Gigabyte b450m ds3h wifi, its a cheap board and it hasnt done me wrong. The 3700x is just a hot processor, if you wanna go air cooling I would go with a coolermaster hyper 212 black edition (around $40), but I went with a 240mm radiator from cooler master (around $85), I installed on Monday and I'm getting decent results on my 3700x, but I did look at this 240 for $55 (https://www.newegg.com/cooler-master-masterliquid-240-lite-liquid-cooling-system/p/N82E16835103252?item=N82E16835103252&source=region&nm_mc=knc-googleadwords-pc&cm_mmc=knc-googleadwords-pc-_-pla-_-liquid+%2f+water+cooling-_-N82E16835103252&gclid=CjwKCAjwt-L2BRA_EiwAacX32XJ747vj5zGLYcq9NrhmQ-S5TzhuZfvo8BNjYBJ9WqNMZ46WGeb_URoCp40QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) it just depends on your budget.

(Heres the one I bought if interested :https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-MasterLiquid-Chamber-MLA-D24M-A18PC-R1/dp/B07CRGC899/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=240mm+aio&qid=1591322565&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEySkZHSU41WlY5RkpCJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwODgzMDUzMzExN1RGVFFJSjYzVyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjMzODYyMTI3SU9STjJNVUM3MiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=)

And another cheap one: https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-MasterLiquid-Chamber-MLA-D24M-A18PC-R1/dp/B07CRGC899/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=240mm%2Baio&qid=1591322565&sr=8-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEySkZHSU41WlY5RkpCJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwODgzMDUzMzExN1RGVFFJSjYzVyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjMzODYyMTI3SU9STjJNVUM3MiZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1)

Here is a pro tip. Get 3600mhz memory rated @ 18-20-20. You can get the Cas to 16 which is what you want and run it @ 3733mhz. Then wait a few weeks and get a B550 when they are released. They say water cooling or nothing. I agree. a 240mm will serve your needs well. I would even suggest getting a 3600 and wait for zen3 by the end of the year for the 4700x or whatever they call the 8 core 16 thread CPU.

What no no no NO !!!

NO THAT BOARD SUCKS

It has a 2 stage 4 phase power design I'm pretty sure that 3700x WILL NOT RUN GOOD

@cruxy0 get a tomhawk max great 3 stage 6+2 phase power design and it will power an 8 core
