Xonair AE 7.1 gaming sound card

I recently purchased this sound card 2 days ago, upon installation the card was working fine after restart. When playing music I was seeing the sound bars move up (F-R-C). The next day now I only see the Front bar move during music play, but when I do a sound test all 3 move. Today now I cannot change the sound configuration it just stays on stereo I cannot choose 5.1 it just goes back to stereo, plus the sound is awful, it just does not have that deep sound my old sound card( has crapped out 10 years old)  Auzentech-HDA-X-Mystique-X-Plosion-7.1.

Try doing a complete driver reinstall, use DDU to get rid of the old ones first.

 

Side note, I think you may have just discovered why we tend to recommend external audio solutions. They don't tend to do things like this.
