Ryzen 3600

Budget (including currency): $1200 if we can make it cheaper thats good.

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games @ 1080p or Medium - High Settings / Coding

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): N/A

So guys I built my PC with the help of this forum. Now I'm building a pc for my friend, idk if this is any good or not. The important thing is the motherboard has to have 'wi-fi'

Not sure if he should just get the x570 wifi or b450m max and just buy a seperate wifi-card but i dont think the price will be that big?

*White case (non rgb is better)

*Liquid cooling

Heres my suggestion:

The tuf gaming board seems like a good option. Its the cheapest decent x570 and it should have better future compatibility than b450. I wouldn't bother with an AIO at with this cpu as it doesnt run particularly hot, and air coolers are just as good whilst saving a buck.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for your input!

I forgot to mention that idk he really likes liquid cooling for whatever purposes. Also I forgot to mention he wants white case :/ Non-rgb would be better.

If he got the nzxt case and aio it would only come to a little more than the air cooler and p400a, so if thats the aesthetics he likes, then go for it.

I have tried changing the PSU, but i got

this note..

  • Note:The Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard has an additional 4-pin ATX power connector but the Cooler Master MWE Gold 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply does not. This connector is used to supply additional 12V current to the motherboard. While the system will likely still run without it, higher current demands such as extreme overclocking or large video card current draws may require it.
  • Note:Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders.

Ah well i run a 3600 in a x470, 2060s and 550W PSU no problem, don't have an additional 4 pin either

Might want to have it if you switch to the 3900/3950x

Bad cooler. AN esports duo 34 would perform better for less.

Overkill. A good 500/550w would be fine.

WHO not the H510? I have this case and I wouldn't recommend it, sure it looks good but airflow is extremely limited.

You don't need to worry about the additional 4 pin. Only needed for LN2 extreme overclocking.

Is this still okay? Or even with CM 212? Can you also recommend some bang for the buck liquid cooler?

  • Note:NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case has a front panel USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port, but the Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard does not have sufficient USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Gen 1 headers. The case USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port will not be usable.
  • Note:The ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports DUO CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard.

Treat yourself a little better for your budget :P you can fit a better GPU.

  • B450 Tomahawk MAX is a great board, and they have announced the B450 is going to get Zen 3 support. It's pretty safe to assume the Tomahawk will be on that supported list as one of the higher end and easily one of the most popular B450 boards.
  • Overclocking Zen 2 gives almost zero performance gains. Even if you wanted to, you could dabble with the stock cooler. Save that AIO cash.
  • This is actually a pretty high end NVMe drive for the same price as that SATA SSD. Upgrade.
  • RTX 2070 Super.
  • I like the Meshify better than the H500 for airflow and for fan inclusion... But you could keep the H500 if you love it.
  • RM series is good, but at that price... No. TXM is plenty, BeQuiet! Pure Power is solid, MWE Gold is fine at a good savings... I used TXM because people tend to lean Corsair here.
