theres a file i have on my drives who's actual size is 233mb but the "size on disk" is 8gb

Now i know size vs "size on disk" can differ , but it usually doesn't differ THAT much , any ideas? it's a folder that contains the entire C drive contents from a windows 3.1 machine. not an image file or anything , just the files as they were.

Is ther a lot of small files? What is the cluster size on the drive? Lots of small files have a lot of overhead.

8,000 files. But i have folders with 50k files in them that don't have a several gb discrepancy like this does
