New home network

Good evening all!

 

We are about to move into a new house next week and it is quite a bit larger than our current home. Currently in our smaller house we struggle with WiFi when we go a little further from the router, so when in this new house we are going to really struggle. Obviously in the house I can use WiFi extender as it’s just about covering a few rooms. My issue is that we have an outbuilding/office at the bottom of the garden which I would like to turn into a “man cave” of sorts. It currently has ethernet in, so what would be the solution to providing good WiFi to the office and to the bottom of the garden? A WiFi extender? Or an access point? If the latter, how would this be set up? (All UK based I should add).

Mesh system may be a good bet for you, look into them.

Either go mesh or use access points (APs) never go extender it sucks.

your looking at needing a mesh system or just 2 strong AP but I'd skip the consumer junk get get good enterprise gear

Ubiquiti is the way to go if you want a good and reliable AP.
