So I recently purchased the MSI A320M-A PRO MAX for a budget pc.

https://www.amazon.com/MSI-ProSeries-Motherboard-PRO-MAX/dp/B0822M7BS5/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

I've already received the product but actually haven't built the pc yet. I just found the MSI A320M-A (not max) for $100 cheaper.

https://www.amazon.com/MSI-ProSeries-Motherboard-PRO-MAX/dp/B0822M7BS5/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

I can't really notice any major difference between them at all. Am I missing something or should I get myself a refund and save $100?

The rest of the specs are:
Ryzen 5 1600AF

MSI 1650 Super

Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz (2x8)

EDIT: Okay I messed up, I only spent $50 on the board anyway. Would it still be worth paying extra for a B450? Many reviews say that it can run this specific CPU fine. It's worth noting that I would really like the pc to be finished before June 14th, and so things that are out of stock (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/Ryzen-Gaming-Motherboard-B450M-CSM/dp/B07FKV5HWJ/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=b450+motherboard&qid=1590921762&sr=8-3 ) would be preferable to avoid unless it's really worth it.

It's also worth noting that I'm including a Network card in the build.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NFMSGGR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Speaking of the Network card. How exposed does the dongle need to be? Would it work fine with my pc tucked away where they would basically face the wall?

Thanks :)

I don't know how much you spent, but there shouldn't be a 100 dollar price difference. Afaik there isn't even an A320 board out there that is worth 100 dollars new. 100 dollars can get you a decent B450 board so i'm very confused. I would just refund it ASAP.

The difference between a MAX an a non-MAX board is the fact it has iirc a bigger BIOS and 3000-series support out-of-the-box. But we learned recently the bigger BIOS is irrelevant and a 1600AF is supported anyway.

So, get your refund and just get a decent B450 board.

About the Wi-Fi, only the antennas will stick out, the PCB will be inside your case.

The board I have now is just the one I linked. You would have to click "Available from these sellers". Thanks for letting me know and I will definitely get it refunded ASAP.

With the Network card, I know that just the antennas stick out, but would it affect connectivity if they're behind the pc?

EDIT: Okay I just checked and the one listed on the other sellers IS NOT what I bought. I only paid $50 for it... Whoops

Refund that and get an ASRock B450 Pro4 - A320 is a massive waste of money since it can barely support quad-cores.
