Fan Setting Help

Hi there,

I just got a gs66 stealth and noticed how loud the fans are. Does anyone have any recommendations for a fan curve setting that I can use in dragon center or other settings to improve fans/thermals. I would like it to be as quiet as possible.

In CSGO, in balanced mode with a max fps of 144 (but only get around 120-130fps and cpu and gpu usage only at 50%) its getting high 70s-80s. Is there anything I can do or is this just the incurable downside to a thin laptop.

Also, is there any downside/possible negative outcome to switching the screen to 60hz to extend battery life and switching it back when gaming?

MSIs are noisy , i have a old one GL72 (so do my 2 flatmates)... fans on them are a monster (3 laptops and all broken fans inside warranty), the dragon centre is meh .

my flat mate doesnt use dragon centre and swears it makes no difference but stops the fans losing its mind.

I used to use MSI afterburner but rebuilt a few months ago. This post however has reminded me. You can manually control fan speed and clock speeds in it.

I also set my fan to full when i go for a coffee ECT as thoses little drops in temp add up. lol
