Laptop Upgrade help

Hey guys, My laptop is showing its age and I'm looking for a new capable laptop for the second half of college and into the professional world, but man am I having trouble... I've heard Linus talk about the forums helping with bargain shoppers, and here is my call for help. I'm doing biotech so I may be needing to run simulations or some light rendering, I'm an AMD fan because I've had great experiences with them and their value aspect for productivity vs gaming performance. I mainly am a productivity guy with light gaming.

 

Here are my minimum specs:

NOT Dell or Acer (really bad experiences: DOA from Dell with terrible support, and nondescript "catastrophic system failure" from Acer)

Ryzen processor 3, 5, or 7 (2000 or 3000 series)

Vega 8 or better graphics

8 GB RAM 

256 SSD

1080p touchscreen (IPS preferred but not required) (14-16in)

backlit keyboard

less than 6lbs (2.75kg)

Budget less than USD $700, $750 if it maxes the specs

 

what I'm running right now for reference:

A10 8700P processor

R8 M365DX + R7 360DX in crossfire (according to AMD support)

12GB RAM

1TB 7200 HDD (140GB used)

1080p IPS 60hz 10 touch-point touchscreen

backlit keyboard

I'm not doing this as a LMGTFY, I've been researching for days for different machines that fit into what I am trying to get with little success, do other people have any suggestions of paths to go down. I'm stuck at the trying to find a good machine that isn't gonna cost me an arm and a leg to do productivity mainly with light gaming.
