I made a post on here earlier asking about whether a gtx 1660 super for around 200$ was a good value. I'm considering doing it, but are mining cards still common on Ebay at all, and is ebay safe to buy from for the gpu market? I know pricing might change soon, but I'm still considering the deal, and would rather have enough info to decide tomorrow if I wanted to. Any Suggestions and comments?

Which model? You can get one brand new at around 220-260 bucks depending on the model. So for me, not worth it. I like peace of mind when i buy my electronics.

I'm looking for something with dual fan, mainly because my case doesn't have amazing airflow and will need the extra cooling, and preferably something from either Gigabyte or Zotac.

I think the only used gpu you would consider would be a 1070 which is slightly better than a 1660 super. However it is still going for over 200. So for basically the same price if not a little more you get a few extra frames. It’s up to you if you think used it worth the slight performance bump. I for one would go with a 1660 super or for a bit more 5600xt.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

I thought about the 5600 option, but I heard from a few places that if you have an Intel cpu, some issues can come from Radeon cards. Is this true or just some Nvidia profit boosting rumor?

I don’t think that’s the case. There are plenty of people running Intel and Radeon. There might be some people with issues but that’s standard with technology, I don’t think any problems would come from Intel with Radeon.

Sounds good, I'll do some more research to make sure I'm getting best pricing for right now, and maybe I'll end up going that route.

i have bought all my card used from ebay accept for my 1080 which i bought on CL.

mining or not a card does what it does.

gtx 1660 super and gtx 1070 are really close. 1070 is edges out the 1660 super.  get which ever you can find cheaper.

Were there any specific buyers you used for those cards, or just people getting rid of old cards?
