if the gpu reaches 83, it will throttle

I downloaded MSI afterburner to check that, and yes that was the problem. My laptop was pushing 100FPS but was also crossing 85C on GPU, hence thermal throttling. I capped my GTA V at 48 FPS and GPU is at 65-70C range. Thank you so much.

I bought a zephyrus GA-502DU with ryzen 7-3750h GTX 1660ti 16GB Ram and 512 PCIe ssd. I play GTA 5 on this machine and I don’t know why my FPS drops below 10 very often. I’m in latest Nvidia driver and latest windows update. PLEASE HELP

temps are around 80 degrees under load, i don't think so that heating is an issue. I've an identical laptop (bought that 2 weeks ago) and temps sometimes hit 90 on that machine but it never throttles down.

just itunes, logitech options and discord. that shouldn't be too much. certainly not enough to bring the FPS down to below 10.
