boot but no Display

Ok so like a week ago I did a job on putting the cables for a guys PC and I made sure it booted and posted. Which it did. So I installed windows everything went fine. Today I got a message from him saying that his PC turns on. Motherboard logo shows up then it goes black. Nothing else. I talk to a friend about it and he said that windows might be trying a force update. I'm not sure right now about whats the problem.

Could be :

  • Corrupted Windows - reinstall
  • Boot order lost : Put the SSD or hard drive on top priority
  • USB key interfering : Remove all devices except monitor and power cable

Please tag me @Windows9 so I can see your reply

Have your friend load into the BIOS and see if the boot drive is detected. Though I feel like it would display a message if there was no boot device. Check anyways.
