Hello,

I wanted some help with getting an Uninterrupted Power Supply (Ups), in India.

I wanted to know how many Milliseconds transfer time I should be looking for.

I have an Antec eag pro 750w gold.

Fx 8320, 970a ds3p & 1050ti.

Also, When there are power cuts my pc shuts down which I know might be dangerous, but nothing bad has happened yet and I want to avoid it.

I'll soon be upgrading to current or next gen. ryzen & a mid tier gpu after the new models come out.

I was hoping for Ups in 50-75 usd range.. And only want it to save me from the sudden shut down on power cut as my home inverter is pretty good with good backup.

Any other solution would be helpful.

Currently looking at this one and similar stuff.

In order to select a UPS, you need to know what the power draw of the whole systems is at the outlet. Your PSU is 750W but thats not a very good measure of the computer and doesnt take into account the monitor.

The UPS you linked only has 360W ouput. If your setup is less than that, you should be ok but i would recommend something higher anyways.

Yea my current setup takes less than 300w. In future too the chances of it going higher than 400w are low..

But will that 3-4 ms transfer time save my system from abrupt shut down on power loss? It's my main concern.

Also a newbie question if I should plug the ups in connection to my home inverter or direct power supply. Does it affect performance or transfer times?

That is the entire purpose of a UPS. It cant be called uninterruptible if can be interrupted from a load perspective. The transfer time should be fine.

Always plug it into mains power unless you have a different power setup.
