Gta Sa On Windiws 8

I installed GTA San Andreas on my new PC with Windows 8. And it starts, but the mouse dosent work in gameplay, only in menu...

What can i do about that?

You gotta love a steam sale.  Well i got windows 7 and having the same problem. Sometimes alt tabing out and in fixes it for 3 minutes. As for a solution ive tried everything thats mentioned on forums and still doesnt work or its intermittently. Im going to go out and buy a cheap xbox 360 controller to see if it works. will keep you posted

i did not buy it on steam, i had the CD :-)

Oh my bad was just on sale on the weekend. i had the original years ago and lost it somewhere. So bought it again cause it was cheap

 CTRL + ALT + Del 

 windows task manager ----> processes ----> find GTA SA in the list  (right click on it ) pick set affinity and select only one  CPU  and your mouse should work

Had this problem on W7, just had to set GTA SA compatibility mode to Windows 98/ME
