Which SSD for Windows

Hey all. I'm getting my upgrade parts tomorrow (hopefully if they arrive) so I'll be reinstalling windows.

Way back I bought my first SSD which is the Corsair Force Series 3 250gb which I installed windows on. Since then I've bought a Samsung EVO 850 1tb for games.

 

I had planned on reinstalling windows on the corsair drive, but realised today that it's not really that fast and lacks dram. Should I install windows to the EVO as well as games, and just use the other for a little storage?

Or would there be no difference?

I'd create a partition for Windows on the EVO and then use the rest for games/other data and use the Corsair drive for whatever.

why? its doesnt really do anything

Samsung EVO 850 1tb has a little bit better IOPS. I am not sure if it help a lot...

Easier management and keeps things separated rather than chucking everything on the C:\ partition.

Thanks guys! Really appreciate your help. I didn't realise until today that the corsair drive isn't that great, glad I came here to verify.

Forgot to ask, will I even have to format? Since it's only got my games on windows should install just fine, right? Would that where the partition would help?

if you do clean reinstall, win 10 will format automatically. (With MBR)  something like that...
