Hi guys, i have a x570 tuf gaming MOBO, a ryzen 7 3700x, amd 5700xt , PSU i have a 550w 80+ gold (dont know the maker xD), and i was asking myself if its possible to install a 2nd gpu ( gtx 1050) as a main card for streaming, and if my power supply is enough, i dont know if this is a stupid question but i was wondering myself since i have the gtx 1050 standing there and not using it.
Thanks

It is, but your cpu can already do the streaming, or the 5700xt.

yea i know but i heard the nvidia does better on the streaming side, and when i try to stream with the rx5700xt the stream looks so bad even with high setting

What does the cpu look like for streaming? There should be enough extra cpu power to stream.

What settings are you streaming with?

x264 encoder, CBR , 5000 bit, CPU preset medium, profile none and output 900p 60fps

and what does the quality look like with that running? That should look better than the nvidia encoder.

since i play apex legends and its fast paced game, when i move around the quality gets blurry

Try switching to 720p or raising the bit rate.

The x264 encoder at medium is about the same or better than the nvidia encoder, so that won't help here.

Also can you use h265? It should be about 30% better than h264

but does the site you streming too support it?

I don't see a reason to get the nvidia card here, it will be a worse quality.

im streaming on twitch using streamlab obs, and i was bjust bothering cause dont wanna force too much my cpu or main gpu, maybe it may sound stupid but i was just bothering since i have the gpu standing there xD, and use at maximun settings the gtx 1050xD
