.CORONA-LOCK extension on windows pc for all files.

Image from my laptop screen  I am currently facing an issue on my windows PC. All my files have suddenly acquired a .CORONA-LOCK extension. I'm assuming it to be some form of ransom ware though there are no demands so far. Any help?

Can you run any antivirus scans to look for the cause? If not I hope your backed up, I would suggest formatting all your drives and doing a complete fresh start over.

Try sacrificing a nt important file and remove the end of the extension. Does it open normally

Looks like some ransomware run a virus scan, and also try renaming one file that's not that important to not have the .CORONALOCK

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help
