Hi there,

I'm planning to build a silent & small HTPC build, that I could also take with me on locations when I need to do some streaming with 1-2 cameras attached via USB capture device(s). My laptop can do 720p in OBS but just barely, and I would like to have a more stable solution as it's for work stuff. I would like to use some light and basic transitions and graphics on top of the stream, as well.

No gaming or heavy workloads outside OBS, as I have a beefy gaming PC at home already. My main question is: Can Ryzen 5 3400g do everything I need? AFAIK, I don't need a dedicated GPU as I'm only streaming external video sources.

Budget: 600-700 € (incl. VAT, Finland)

Applications: OBS, Netflix 4k etc

Streaming needs: Most likely 720p but 1080p would be nice of course. Light and basic transitions and graphics on top of the stream.

My plan for now:

AMD Ryzen 5 3400G + Noctua NH-L9a-AM4 chromax.black

Asus ROG Strix B450-I GAMING

In Win Chopin

Intel 512GB 660p

8 GB DDR4

Total 630 €

I have peripherals and the Win 10 license already.

All help and opinions appreciated! :)

Ok thanks! I will double-check that there are no issues with the chassis and/or the CPU cooler, but otherwise sounds good.

use pcpartpicker to check for compatibility issues. also, i would bet the msi b450 board, it's better than the asus one.
