(please note I bumped the spoiler button, and I have no idea how to get rid of it)

Budget by item in usd

Motherboard: $300

Ram: $80

Power supply: $90

CPU cooler: $50

There is no budget for the other items for they're obtained and not really needed at this time. I'm also not looking for better storage at this time that's an easy enough replacement down the road.

Simply enough this is going to be a gaming rig, plus the occasional artwork nothing that'll stress any computer out too much, besides the gaming that is.

Everything in red is already obtained.

Everything in blue is not yet obtained.

So I picked out these with the part picker, and I'm looking for suggestions an opinions to better this list

  • G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
  • Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
  • Samsung 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
  • Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case
  • Corsair CXM 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply
  • Thermaltake Gravity i2 31.34 CFM CPU Cooler
  • Samsung 970 Evo 250 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
  • Intel Core i7-7700 3.6 GHz Quad-Core OEM/Tray Processor

Sorry this is a bit confusing, can you list the parts that you need or want and the budget you are willing to spend on them?

Just updated it I hope it's a bit more clear, I have no idea how to get rid of the spoiler boxes

I've been thinking about ditching Intel for a while now, just figured I'd continue to use the i7 till she finally croaks or till I get fed up enough with how hot that cpu likes to get.

I wouldn't spend $220 on a crap B250 board. You also have no upgrade path, so unless you are fine being stuck on a 4 core cpu then I would ditch it.

Actually that I really looked everything over, your seggestion seems to be the best bet.

Wouldn't a 500w for the power supply be enough?
