Could I upgrade

I got his motherboard last year for ryzen 3000 the link is Here. And I heard and changed there statement and ryzen 4000 will support the b450 platform and if there as good as people are expecting I might upgrade just wondering if this motherbord would be good enough.

As long as a bios update will be released you will be able to upgrade, but that depends on MSI.

if i read it right, it was select bios. meaning not all B450 and X470 will get it. though im not sure. even if they do get it, it might be well after the relase of the Ryzen 4000.

It's probably "good" enough but I'd be concerned about a BIOS from MSI. They released the "B450 GAMING PRO CARBON MAX WIFI" (though I can't find it actually for sale anywhere) which replaces this board (same board, just a bigger BIOS chip) so I'd be a little surprised if it got much future support. 

 

For additional context, just to add 3000 support for it they had to use their "light" BIOS (less flashy/fancy, for whatever that's worth) and remove support for "below Bristol Ridge CPU due to BIOS rom size limitation" including the Athlon x4 970/950/940, A12-9800/9800E, A10-9700/9700E, A8-9600, A6-9550/9500/9500E.
