Should I upgrade or wait?

I've got a Ryzen 7 1700 paired with an X470 mobo, and I'm looking for advice on whether I should upgrade to an R5 3600 or wait for 4th gen and just get a new motherboard.

I really only game and browse Reddit.

If you are not satisfied with it or want more performance, then upgrade. If you can wait, I would wait until 4th gen comes out.
