Headphone Jack Not working

So my laptops headphone jack stopped working recently. I tried a few adapters, but it seems specifically headphone devices that use that size jack, just dont work. Ive tried 3 adapters and nothings changed, 4 headsets, but no luck. It seems as though my pc wont accept that kind of headset. The weird thing is that i am using a usb headset (one made for office work), and it runs fine. Help?? (im kinda bad at this stuff)

Assuming I'm understanding you correctly,
USB headsets have their own inbuilt audio chips so they run completely independently of onboard audio.
If the jack is physically (electrically) broken there's really not much you can do, try reinstalling audio drivers and if that doesn't fix it I think you'll be using the USB headset for a while.

it could be from a loose connection with the jack if the jack barrel is worn, rotate the plug with it in the jack and it might make a connection, I've personally had this issue twice
