Just recieved this Motherboard delightfully dumped on my doorstep from Amazon.

 

Really poorly packed not external box etc.

 

Are Motherboards resilient to being chucked around by couriers?

 

Would you accept or return?

 

Companies are so hit and miss with their packaging.. I get a £8.99 plug that's wrapped up like it's gold in bubble wrap and boxed - then this!

The box a motherboard comes in is plenty.  It's really kind of ridiculous to expect, and they do it, companies package up an already packaged item.

 

And yes, they're well built enough.  What is a bubble wrapped box going to do when the motherboard is in it's own box getting jostled around?

 

Throw an egg in a cardboard box, then wrap that box lovingly in bubble wrap 1000x times and add fairy dust to it too.  Think that bubble wrap will do anything?

Was just expecting it to come in a box, not just a plastic sleeve

I've gotten a board with the shipping label slapped onto the motherboard box itself. And that was totally fine. I wouldn't worry about it.

if there's an internal box, they dont need an external one. That's what the padding inside the box is meant for.

 

Though I would expect a tougher package outside so it doesnt expose what's inside.

I’d be more worried about your mail carrier looking to steal your stuff then returning it. No reason why that package is open like that. Someone tore it open and looked inside to see what was in there, that packaging doesn’t rip easily.
