Posible use for my old 770, drive secondary displays

I have 4 displays all running off one card. (GTX1070 IT). My 4 monitors are mainly for productivity, when I game I only use one of the monitors. (I usually have a video and messaging programs on the other monitors.)  I have my old GTX 770 not being used. If I add the 770 as a secondary card and plug my other 3 monitors into that. Would that improve performance as the 1070 now only needs to drive 1 monitor. And the 770 can handled the other three monitors?
