Bios update

Go to solution Solved by boggy77,

why did you get a x370, knowing that it won't work?

you can request an update kit from amd directly, but it will take a while to arive.

So i have bought asrock x370 pro4 and paired it up with ryzen 5 3600 and as u could say it won't run w/o update to the newest bios. I mean i don't want to spend another 50 $ for athlon 200ge so im asking whether is there any option to update it without paying too much. I mean i asked local pc serivces even the one that i have bought mobo from but they say that they would update it if i had the whole pc up and running. And im not that retarded that i couldnt update it myself when it could start. The problem is it won't. Never thought it would be so god damn hard to find a normal service.

"we will update the PC if you can update the PC and make it work" I don't understand this shop's logic, tell them you'll pay them $10 to put a first gen CPU in and see if they change their minds, and you will provide ram, cpu cooler, psu, etc.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Because i thought services would be kind enough and reliable to ask them to do it but it appears they are not. I bought it because it was way cheaper and it would still work after i updated it. And as u said there is a way to update it so im not lost xd. And i dont want to buy a compatible since i wanted to kinda save money.

Well i can get behind that because bios update can increase the performance. Yet they said they can't be sure if their boss will agree to opening a cpu and using it just to update bios since it will decrease the price of it and i can understand that. But it is weird that don't have a setup running somewhere which has a amd cpu compatible to my mobo. But boggy said i can order one from amd itself then im good to go.

unfortunately that ,ight only apply to B450/X470 motherborads, but you should definitely message their customer support and find out.
