So today I tried to update the drivers for my old laptop ( Asus K50IP ) because there were random error messages that mentioned the nvidia driver ( vga driver ) and it would randomly freeze and stutter under high load. The laptop is using Windows 7

So the driver uninstalled and says that it is istalled and working so the istaller doesn't work ( I tried redownloading )

I tried to select the driver through device manager, but it says "this operation needs interactive window" and yes I tried to do the "Take ownership" thing, but it didn't work for me.

So now after 5 hours of trying to solve this issue myself I don't know what to do. I am stuck with a really slow laptop without a graphics driver. I don't wan't to reinstall Windows because the laptop has 75 gb of photos that would need to be transported over usb 2.0.
