My 5700xt is idling at 54-58 degrees. My case is the Lian Li PC O-11 dynamic. My CPU is the 3700x. I have three intake fans on the bottom and three intake fans on the side. I would like to lower my GPU idle temps, which are higher than when I am gaming. I understand I can create a custom fan curve; however, I was wondering if, I moved the radiator to the side and had three intake fans on the top, would airflow increase. I will likely move the radiator to test but I would like to see opinions before I do that. The top of my GPU seems to be very hot. Any advice is appreciated.

(Radiator is the corsair H100 Platinum.

I could pretty easily flip the side fans to exhaust too, but I don't think that would help anything.

I doubt the GPU Temps are higher in Idle than under load. Its the thermal margin that you see.

And you have more intake than the outake can handle. So hot air is running in circles.

My bad, it runs slightly higher under load. 60-65c. I guess, I can flip around the side intake fans first. I would like to keep the bottom intake because I feel like those are helping the GPU the most, however, I could be wrong. This is kind of out there but I’m waiting for my quality PSU to ship and currently using a crappy thermal take one. Could that effect temps?

Are your GPU fans running at idle? Most modern GPUs support 0rpm mode for temps under 60C.

They are not. I’m kind of reluctant to set up a custom fan curve. It might be my only option if I can not figure out how to get the temps down tho. Once they spin, the temp instantly drops to 45c

Why you are reluctant? It just takes bit more time than relying stock settings.
